Diego Armando Maradona was born in Argentina in 1960 and would go on to be an enduring legend in the football world. Over the course of his career he competed as a player and also as a manager, but it is his time Captaining his national team for which he is best known. During the 1986 World Cup he led his team to victory, claiming the trophy from West Germany in the final. Earlier in the tournament he scored the two winning goals against England, one was the infamous, “Hand of God”, while the other has been voted the goal of the century.
